At Raacho Trekkers, We offer a complete Himalayan experience starting from non-technical or semi-technical trekking to technical climbing and Snow leopard photography tours.

Raacho Trekkers offer responsible travel experiences in highly ecologically fragile regions like Kinnaur & Spiti valley. We carefully craft itineraries to minimise the social, economic and environmental impact on communities, wildlife & environments.

Our Style

We believe in smaller groups as it helps us give extra attention to individuals and puts lesser pressure on the environment. Being environmentally conscious is of high priority and we choose sustainable methods of waste disposal.

We individually desire and strongly believe in cleanliness and hygiene so you will only find the neatest and cleanest of gear and food. Comfort cannot be far, and we ensure it to the limit possible; be it the only company to provide foam mattress in tents, to the quality of food.

We are in it for the love of it. And you will feel it too. Being native to the region, we understand the fragility of the mountain ecosystem and need to protect the primitive culture of mountain people. We always try to discover the routes less travelled by and reveal spell bounding beauty of the Himalayas to the world.

We have been organizing trekking expeditions and road trips around the region since 2007. For the first time, we explored the route of Lamkhaga pass from Kinnaur side & in June 2014 we did the first recce expedition on Chitkul to Gangogtri(Lamkhaga) route. In June 2017 we organized 3 pass trek (Patangani, Auden’s, and Mayali pass) and was the first group to complete the three pass trek.

Our team was featured in National Geographic Traveller Magazine for the 3-Pass Trek Expedition of Uttarakhand.

Meet the Team

Prajwal Ranta

Prajwal is a certified mountaineer and trek leader from Nawar valley of Shimla. He has done basic, advanced and MOI (Method Of Instructions) mountaineering courses from Mountaineering training from Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali. He also works as a guest instructor in ABVIMAS, Manali. Prajwal has scaled Deo Tibba peak and traversed passes mainly in Kullu and Shimla district. He has trekked to Beas Kund, Hampta Pass, Buran Ghati, Chandernahan lake, and Rupin Pass.

   I didn’t go for any trek with them. But meeting with someone like Sonu Negi is the best thing that happened in my Kinnaur trip last year. In him I earned a friend, philosopher and guide.
